Welcome to the National Lottery Charities Board Eastern Office

Welcome to the Eastern Region.

From our office base in Cambridge we cover the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and the Unitary Authority areas of Peterborough, Luton, Southend on Sea and Thurrock. It is an extremely diverse area of over 19,120 square kilometres with a population of over five million.

Our aim is to help meet the needs of those at greatest disadvantage in society and to improve the quality of life in the community by making grants to community groups and charities which benefit people living in these areas.

Awards have ranged from £500 to small local groups to more than £500,000 for long term, large scale projects. Work we have supported includes building and refurbishment of village halls and community centres, community transport schemes, playgroups, training and education and disabled access improvements.

Our team at the Eastern Regional Office will be happy to help you with any questions that you may have about eligibility, our current grants programmes, funding criteria and information about awards made. We also run seminars and give �How to Apply� briefings throughout the region. Your local development organisations may also be able to give individual advice, or run training events.
