Mrs Diana McConnell
CBE DL -Chairman

Diana is a past Chairman of Cheshire County Council. She has
a long service in local government (did not seek re-election 1/5/97) and
through different committees has a good working knowledge of the voluntary
sector. She has taken particular interest in education, youth services and
social services. She also serves as chairman of Cheshire Community Health
Care Trust. |
Mr Alan Chapman |
Alan has an extensive experience of working within Liverpool�s
voluntary sector, both in terms of individual project/support and at a strategic
level. He is currently employed as Field Services Manager at Liverpool Council
for Voluntary Service. Alan is an active member of a variety of voluntary
organisations. |
Mr Dennis Crook |
Dennis is a retired Vicar from Lancashire. He has spent a
considerable number of years with the voluntary sector organising funds
throughout the county. He was a member of the Diocesan Advisory Committee
which is the planning committee of the diocese and was involved in the development
and maintenance of diocesan property. His knowledge of Lancashire and the
voluntary sector is considerable. |
Mr Jolyon Dodgson |
Jolyon is the Chairman of Voluntary Action Cumbria, which
is the Rural Community Council for that county. The chairmanship of RCC�s
is voluntary work. Professionally he is Regional Secretary for the North
West of England Country Landowners Association. He is also involved in rural
housing as a Chairman of Cumbria Land-Back for Village Homes and Rural Housing
Forum; and he has a professional background and practical involvement in
arts. |
Mr Bill Egerton |
Bill is currently a JP. He has a wide experience with Ofsted
in the education field and as an ex Lord Mayor of Manchester he has had
considerable contact with the voluntary sector and voluntary organisations.
His knowledge of local authority and local authority procedures is considerable.
A Deputy Chairman of the Manchester Bench, he is heavily involved with organisations
throughout Manchester. He is also the Deputy Chairman of North Manchester
Healthcare Trust. |
Mr Anthony Evans |
Tony has significant knowledge and interest in housing associations
and is currently a member of the Management Committee at the Family Housing
Association (Manchester). As part of this role he also acts as a Chair on
two sub-Committees. He has considerable experience in a wide variety of
voluntary organisations. Tony is a freelance Management Consultant. |
Miss Jean Gadsby |
Jean was a past board member of Liverpool City Challenge.
She is currently a board member and Treasurer of a local Housing Association
and holds the same position with Liverpool Voluntary Society for the Blind.
She also sits on the board of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce. Her knowledge
of the voluntary sector is considerable. Jean works full time in her own
accountancy practice. |
Mr Tony Jones |
Tony is the Executive Director of Mersey Basin Trust. He has
a considerable knowledge of environmental issues and a clear perspective
on the role of the voluntary sector in this work. He has a wide knowledge
of the voluntary sector in general and understands the role of funding bodies
in their development. |
Angela Madely |
Angela has been a volunteer with the Bury and District Disabled
Advisory Service from 1989 to 1994. She has served on various committees,
including the British Council of Organisations of Disabled People's Task
Group. Currently she is a Disability Action Trainer and Co-Treasurer of
Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People. |
