Kay Hampton - Member of the Board's Scotland UK Committee (since January 1998)
Sociologist and researcher; Research Director, Scottish Ethnic Minorities Research Unit, Glasgow Caledonian University; Specialist Visiting Lecturer, Department of Social Sciences, Glasgow Caledonian University; member of the executive committee, Apna Ghar Black Led Housing Association; member of the advisory committee, Scottish Poverty Information Unit; member of the advisory committee, SCVO Race Equality Committee.
Anne Clark - Member of the Board's Scotland Committee (since July 1998)
Executive Officer for the Islay and Jura Council of Voluntary Service. Trained as a teacher in the United States, she has been involved in the voluntary sector in Scotland for many years, including a acting as Chairman of the Highlands and Islands Federation of CVS and Chairman of CVS Scotland. Between 1988 and 1994 she was a Director of SCVO and also Chairman of Strathclyde Forum of Community Development.
Douglas Graham - Member of the Board's Scotland Committee (since July 1999)
Douglas has been in private practice as a Solicitor in Inverness and the Highlands since 1974 and has considerable experience of charity law and community businesses. He has been actively involved in community radio having been a founder and non-executive Director of Moray Firth Radio; the Scout Association where he was the Area Commissioner for Inverness and a member of the Executive Committee and Scottish Board and the Hospice Movement where he helped found the Highland Hospice and is currently its Chairman.
John Wilkes - Member of the Board's Scotland Committee (since July 1999)
John has been actively involved in the voluntary sector for over ten years. His main interests have been to further the development of equal opportunities through his involvement in a number of voluntary organisations including the Strathclyde Gay and Lesbian Switchboard and Glasgow Gay and Lesbian Centre. His work in this area led to John serving as a co-optee on the Glasgow City Council Equalities Committee. His other work has been around health issues such as HIV and AIDS where he is currently the Chief Executive of PHACE west, one of Scotland's largest AIDS charities.
Vicky Patterson - Member of the Board's Scotland Committee (since November 2000)
Vicky has been working in the voluntary sector since 1972 and also has a wealth of experience including holding the position of Chair with a residential centre for drug users and SACRO Central Scotland. She also has extensive committee experience with the Scottish Prisons Service and BBC General Advisory Committee. She has previously been employed as a Deputy Director of City Roads, a residential crisis centre for drug users, and as Co-ordinator of the Scottish Drugs Training Project.
Lorne MacLeod - Member of the Board's Scotland Committee (since November 2000)
Lorne has a wealth of experience with many charities and voluntary groups, particularly in relation to organisations working in rural areas. He is currently the Director of Strengthening Communities with Highlands and Islands Enterprise and also brings experience of the LEADER programme, and issues in relation to young people, childcare, housing, drug and alcohol projects and community co-operatives.
