Oxfordshire Chinese Centre
The project will provides bi-lingual workers to support and offer advice to women and older people within the Chinese community. It also helps the Chinese community to have better health resources and information on benefits, legal aid, housing and consumer affairs.
Isle of Wight Mencap
A community farm which operates as an educational centre for people with learning difficulties. The project will improve the classroom and training facilities as well as the recreational and catering areas. This one year grant was used to replace the old building with an architecturally interesting building which meets the needs of the client group.
1st Durrington Scouts
This project provides a base for scouts and other community activities. The grant contributes towards the purchase and conversion of an existing traditional barn into a purpose-built scout hut and community centre. This project is notable due to the community focus in a large housing estate on the edge of a densely populated urban area.
Canterbury Open Christmas
The project extends current day centre and night shelter facilities to provide, in newly acquired premises, a comprehensive year round service for vulnerable homeless or inadequately housed people.
