Corporate Identity and Logo Usage
The National Lottery Charities Board's Company logo has been designed
to reflect the image and direction of The Board. The content and style (both graphic and typographic) is therefore of paramount importance, and steps must be taken to ensure that they remain constant. The downloadable logos included on the website are all approved by the Board, an are therefore ready to use in any publication, but the stylistic restrictions which comprise the logo are detailed below.
Image
The logo's interlocking 'C's image is common to all counrty variations. It encompasses a large forward facing black cresent, encompassing a blue-green backward facing cresent. The colour of the inner cresent has been chosen as it is has no political conotations, and as such its reproduction must be exact. The shade used is Pantone 5483 (Cyan 70%, Magenta 30%, Yellow 50%) for colour reproduction or 60% black for greyscale work.
Text
The font used for the logo's is Plantin, and the main body of text is in capitals, with relevant country variants written in italic lower case. In the case of the Wales a welsh translation of the logo text is provided with above the standard english caption, seperated by a horizontal bar.
General Guidelines and usage
- Always reproduce the logo as a whole (ie caption and image)
- Never overprint the logo
- Never enclose the logo
- Do not reproduce the logo's in custom colours, or invert the colours
- Avoid using the logo on a non-white background
- Do not use any other typeface on the logo.
