Welcome to the National Lottery Charities Board South-West Regional Office
We cover the largest area of all the Charities Boards English regions - from the Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds in the north, through Wiltshire to Christchurch on the south coast, and west to the Isles of Scilly.
In our main grants programmes, Community involvement and Poverty and disadvantage, organisations can apply for grants of £500 upwards. There is no upper limit, but the Regional Awards Committee has not made awards of over £300,000 except in exceptional circumstances. The average grant size is around £70,000.
We also participate Awards for All, a joint lottery distributor scheme which makes awards between £500 and £5000 to small groups. Full details of how to apply to all our grants programmes are on our main site.
The purpose of our grantmaking is to help meet the needs of those at greatest disadvantage in society and improve the quality of life in the community. On a regional level, we have set priorities for the next three years which will help us, for example, to reach those needs and parts of the region which have not been so well represented in our funding to date.
The current guide to our regional priorities is on this site. But please remember that our grants programmes cover a wide range of activities, and we will continue to make awards to projects which meet our general criteria well, even if they are not in our priority areas.
We look forward to receiving your application.
