Richard Martineau
Chair of the England Committee
Richard Martineau worked for Whitbreads for 30 years and was Director responsible for the Community Affairs for six of them. His public appointments have included Board or Council membership of the London Electricity Board, North East Manpower Board and the National Curriculum Council.
Other appointments include: a member of the Council of RSA from 1989-2001 and Chairman 1993-95; Governor of the University of North London 1995-98; Vice Chair of the Institute of Education 1996-2001; and Director of the Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations Board (OCR) and the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). He chaired the Eastern Regional Advisory Panel of the NLCB from 1995-2000. He farms in Suffolk.
