Adriènne Kelbie
Deputy Chief Executive
Adriènne was appointed Deputy Chief Executive in February 2002. She remains Director for our Scotland office, to which she was appointed in December 1999.
As Deputy Chief Executive, she heads up the newly created Operations Development team which comprises Operations Planning, Review, Merlin development and Publications (including web development). As Director for Scotland she played a pivotal role in expanding the Awards for All scheme and introducing our Medium grants programme. She led the negotiation of formal partnership agreements with local authority and council for voluntary services in the 32 Scottish local authority areas, and is a keen exponent of streamlining and transparency.
Having joined Community Fund as Scotland's Operations and Grants Manager in 1999, she has a sound understanding of operational issues and customer expectations. She's also carried out two secondments which led to significant re-engineering of our business, such as scrapping application closing dates, bringing assessment and grant management in-house and providing feedback to unsuccessful applicants. Before working at the Fund, she worked in disadvantaged areas of Glasgow and Lanarkshire as a trainer, fundraiser, co-ordinator and project manager. She also worked with City and Guilds as one of a handful of external verifiers for Administration and IT schemes. |
