 HOMEPAGE/FUNDING YOUR PROJECT/MANAGING YOUR GRANT

Continuation funding

We welcome applications from groups to develop a successful project that we have already funded. Our standard assessment criteria also apply to any application but there are certain issues you should consider when making a second application for your project. If you want to apply to us for a second grant for a project we are currently funding, you do not need to change your project or do something entirely new.

However, you must show that you have evaluated what you have been doing; that your users have been involved throughout your evaluation; and that you have used what you have learned from that evaluation to develop your application.

Evaluation

If you apply to us for a second grant for your project, we look for evidence of how our first grant was used and managed. We check that you met the terms and conditions of your first grant and that you returned all the monitoring information that we asked for.

You should also be able to tell us what difference the project has made to the people who have benefited from it. We look for evidence that you have evaluated the success of the grant and are using this evaluation to decide the future direction of the project.

The evaluation of the work carried out with the first grant should include the views of the people who have benefited from your project - these views should then be used as a starting point for developing the project. We would expect you to give evidence of the situation before, during and after the period of the first grant.

Your project's future

- What will you do after our grant funding stops?
- What plans have you made to look for other funding?

What to do if circumstances have changed

Since your project began, the context in which it works may have changed.

- Has there been a change in the law affecting the group of people you work with?
- Has there been a change in public policy which affects the people you work with?
- Are there any new organisations working in your area?
- Are there any new services similar to your own being provided?
- Has the composition of your group, or its needs changed in any significant way?

You will need to show us that you are aware of any changes like this, and you should tell us how they have affected your project.
