| We run a number of different grants programmes to suit different organisations and projects.
Note: The last day we accepted applications for programmes in England was 31 May, 2005. We will be assessing applications and announcing successful grant recipients up until December 2005. Attention: The Scotland office is piloting a new process for applying and assessing Grants for large projects and Grants for medium-sized projects in Scotland. There are new forms and new guidance which must be used. Applicants in Scotland should visit the Scotland pages to download all they need to start applying.
Grants for large projects is for groups whose total project costs more than £60,000 (or more than £30,000 if it involves property).
Grants for medium-sized projects is for groups whose total project (not just in one year) costs less than £60,000, or the total cost of any building construction or refurbishment work is less than £30,000 excluding VAT.
Our Strategic grants programme is for UK-wide or England-wide projects, or for those covering more than one country of the UK or three or more England regions. Grants are made under our Large or Medium grants programmes. There is no limit to the size of grant you can apply for.
We run an International grants programme for UK-based organisations running development projects abroad.
Our Research grants programme is for voluntary organisations who want to get involved in social and medical research.
The Awards for All programme gives small grants to small groups.
